The U21 Autism Research Network are proud to present the first event in our annual series “Let’s Talk About Autism”. This international public engagement event aims to provide insight to experiences of being autistic from a diverse range of autistic individuals, to discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion in autism research, and how we can all make society and research more inclusive for autistic individuals.

Matt Bond, the chair of the Birmingham Psychology Autism Research Team (B-PART) Consultancy Committee, will host the event. The event involves two expert panels:
Panel A (18:20-19:10 BST) – Lived experiences of autism
Panel B (19:20-20:10 BST) – Diversity and inclusion in autism research

Throughout the event, we encourage your involvement by tweeting questions and comments using the hashtag #U21Autism2021. There will be opportunities for you to ask questions during the livestream and to vote in polls.
