At Cruse we understand how a bereavement can impact on carers and how your grief journey can feel very different to other bereavement experiences.

We know that being a carer is hard work and it can mean making huge sacrifices in your life. The amount of time that you have been a carer will depend on your circumstances, but in all likelihood, you will have experienced some aspects of grieving whilst your loved one was alive. Regardless of how prepared you felt, we know that after their death there will still be grieving to be done and you might be feeling lost and confused about what to do with your life moving forward.

We would like to invite you to a friendly online session where we can hopefully give you something that will support you through this difficult time in your life.  There will be a short and simple presentation that will help you understand what you are experiencing as a grieving person. There will also be some tips around how you can cope with your loss and navigate your grief journey more effectively. There will also an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

Please note that you, and everyone else will be muted, so there will be no verbal interaction and you can choose whether or not to have your video on. However, you can use the chat function if you want to ask a question or make a comment. However, please understand that the session is a safe place and there is no need for you to do or say anything and you can leave whenever you want.

The session will be at 4pm on the 13th April 2021. You will need a phone, tablet, or PC to attend the sessions. Please contact birmingham@cruse.org.uk for more details if you are interested in attending.
