Walsall Council has appointed Forward Carers to lead the new Walsall Carers Hub service to support unpaid family Carers in Walsall. Forward Carers’, partner, Midland Mencap will deliver the Walsall Carers service and are looking to appoint enthusiastic staff to these exciting new roles.

The Walsall Carers Hub Coordinator will support the Operations Manager and teams of both the Carers and Disability Hubs to proactively identify unpaid carers including via GPs, hospitals, schools, social services, voluntary agencies and self-referrals. Reporting to the Walsall Carers Hub Coordinator, the Family Project Worker will identify and support of unpaid carers, using traditional methods of outreach and partnerships and the use of technology-based systems including social media and web-based technology. Both roles are based at 17 Lichfield Street, Walsall WS1 1TU with some travel to community venues across the borough. The closing date for these roles is ongoing.
