Forward Carers is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the contract to deliver comprehensive support services for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers in Birmingham. This significant achievement underscores our ongoing commitment to enhancing the lives of Carers across the region.
Forward Carers already manages the adult Carer support services in Birmingham through the Birmingham Carers Hub. Our extensive experience in providing support and resources to adult Carers has equipped us with the insights and expertise necessary to deliver an effective and integrated service for Young Carers. This new contract will enable us to further develop a strong whole-family approach, ensuring that the needs of both young and adult Carers are met comprehensively.

In partnership with Action for Children, Forward Carers will implement the Young Carers Service with a holistic, whole-family approach. This collaboration will enhance our ability to deliver early intervention and support, preventing the escalation of needs and helping Young Carers manage their responsibilities effectively. Action for Children’s expertise in working with young people and families complements our own, ensuring that the service we provide is robust, well-rounded, and tailored to the unique needs of each family.
Forward Carers has a proven track record of delivering services for Young Carers, and we currently offer a Young Adult Carers service in partnership with YMCA Sutton Coldfield. Our established partnerships across the board will be replicated for this service, ensuring a seamless and integrated support system for Young Carers.
