You may have noticed we’ve had a make-over! We’re delighted to unveil our new test version of the Forward Carers website.
A lot of work has gone into developing a website that works for you. Whether you’re new to caring or an old hand, we hope you will find lots of useful material here.
Throughout the site, you can find out what it means to be a carer, how to care safely, practical tips on looking after yourself (as well as the person you care for) and where and when support groups and activities take place.
We also have a dedicated section for carer services across the West Midlands in the Local Services section. Make sure you are aware of the support you are entitled to and find out where to go when you need help.
Carers based in Birmingham should check out the Birmingham Local Services section for a detailed breakdown on the range of support you can access – from emergency caring support and advice on benefits and finance, to free wellbeing activities and carer specific training sessions. Make sure you register with Birmingham Carers Hub, it’s the best way to access all the support available to you.
We hope you find the new website useful. Over the next few weeks, you might notice it changes slightly as we finalise everything. So, if you spot anything that isn’t working as it should, or find any broken links, we’d appreciate it if you would let us know, HERE.
