We run the award-winning Carer Friendly ID Card and discount scheme that connects unpaid Carers that provides Carers with verified status and connects them to a wide-range of discounts and benefits. Unpaid Carers are amazing people who provide care for someone who couldn’t manage without them, due to age, frailty, disability, or physical or mental health issues. 1 in 8 adults in the UK are in a caring role.
The scheme gives Carers access to deals and discounts upon presentation of their Carer Friendly ID card. Many local and national organisations offer a special offer, discount or deal for Carer Friendly ID Card holders or include cardholders in their existing concession offers.

Any organisation can become Carer Friendly and support unpaid Carers in the community simply by offering a small token of recognition to Carers who show their Carer Friendly ID Card. Carer Friendly offers may include a small special deal, discount, additional service or a friendly chat.

Why Carers Need Your Support
The caring role can be incredibly challenging, many Carers provide over 50 hours of care each week, often alongside their paid work. Having time out from the caring role and feeling supported and valued by the community is vital to Carer wellbeing. Which is why we ask that all offers are available to Carers on their own rather than for Carers who are accompanying the person they care for. It can be hard for Carers to get out and do the things they want to do. With a discount or offer from you, Carers will have the chance to feel good about taking time out and take a well-earned break from the stresses and strains of caring.
