Forward Carers is delighted to announce that starting 1st August, we will be providing comprehensive Wellbeing Preventative Services to the Dudley community, having been successfully awarded this crucial service contract by Dudley Council. Additionally, in collaboration with Action for Children, we are set to enhance the support network for Young Carers under the Young Carers Services.
Adult Wellbeing Services will focus on delivering personalised face-to-face support, ensuring Carers receive tailored assistance. The programme will include a variety of workshops and training sessions covering essential topics such as legal rights, stress management, and navigating healthcare systems. Additionally, community support groups will be facilitated to provide a platform for Carers to share experiences and receive peer support, fostering a strong sense of community among participants.
Partnership with Action for Children: We are proud to partner with Action for Children, a renowned organisation dedicated to improving young lives, to deliver the Young Carers Services. This partnership will leverage the strengths of both organisations to provide a comprehensive support system tailored specifically to the needs of Young Carers. Action for Children’s extensive experience in child and youth services will bring valuable insights and proven methodologies to the programme, ensuring Young Carers receive the highest level of support.
Young Carers Services will feature direct support groups, educational workshops, and recreational activities designed to foster growth, resilience, and wellbeing among Young Carers. Through our combined efforts with Action for Children, we aim to create an environment that supports the personal and social development of Young Carers, ensuring they have the resources to thrive.
Both services will be delivered through a mix of traditional and innovate methods, ensuring all Carers, regardless of their age, receive the right support they deserve.
