Join Us as a Project Coordinator: Making a Difference for Carers

At Forward Carers, we are driven by our mission to improve the wellbeing of unpaid Carers through tailored support services, essential activities, and innovative training programmes. We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This is a chance to make a tangible impact on the lives of adult unpaid Carers, helping them navigate their roles with confidence and support.

Why This Role Matters

Unpaid Carers often face immense challenges in balancing their responsibilities with their own wellbeing. As a Project Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing their day-to-day lives by providing the resources, training, and support they need to thrive. By joining Forward Carers, you will be a key part of creating a Carer Friendly Community that truly makes a difference.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Coordinator, your role is dynamic and fulfilling. You’ll work closely with our Project Manager to coordinate a variety of activities and training sessions for Carers. These sessions will offer valuable information and skills, from managing their caring responsibilities to improving their own wellbeing.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Activity and Training Coordination: Plan and organise events, workshops, and training for unpaid Carers. From budgeting to risk assessments, you’ll ensure every detail is taken care of.
  • Programme Support: Provide essential administrative support and distribute digital resources like SIM cards and tablets, ensuring Carers have the tools they need.
  • Stakeholder and Volunteer Coordination: Work closely with our staff and volunteers, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to our high standards.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with partners to identify new opportunities for Carers and raise awareness of the services available to them.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Gather feedback from Carers to continuously improve our programmes and services.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated, organised individual who can lead with empathy and build strong connections with Carers. Key attributes include:

  • Organisational Skills: You can juggle multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: You’ll interact with Carers, volunteers, and partners, so effective communication is essential.
  • Empathy: Understanding the needs of Carers is central to this role, and you’ll need to be a compassionate and supportive presence.
  • Team Leadership: Experience managing volunteers or staff will help you coordinate a cohesive team effort.

Experience in project coordination, event management, or working within the social care or charity sectors is highly valued. If you have a passion for supporting vulnerable adults, particularly Carers, we’d love to hear from you!
