I am excited about the Carer Ambassador role because it is an opportunity to support other Carers and promote the Service that Forward Carers offers. I have been involved with Forward Carers since 2018 whilst caring for my mother who had Alzheimer’s Disease. She sadly passed away in January 2020 and I continue to live a life in honour of her name (Kizah) and her Character. I did the 13 mile memory walk with my daughter in 2021 because I wanted to raise monies in support of the Charity. I have been a Judge for the Carer Friendly Business Awards, featured in one of the Unsung Heroes stories, and volunteered at events. I am keen to continue my journey as an ex-carer and looking forward to impacting more lives, and raising the profile of the amazing work that Carers do for their loved ones, friends, neighbours and families.
