I’m a Carer for my dad and my brother Adam. I also work at Marks and Spencer and I support them to improve support for other Carers across the organisation, such as flexible working or things like having a mobile phone available during working hours, in case of a care emergency. I’ve really valued the support I received from Forward Carers, especially during the covid lockdowns, and have done a number of fundraising events, including a 10 mile sponsored walk to raise funds and awareness. I’m looking forward to being a Volunteer Ambassador so I can use my experiences to help others. It’s great to talk to and help other Carers who are in the same situation as ourselves and work to achieve things together.
