Disability Hate Crime: a guide for Carers and supporters
The National Police Chiefs’ Council has produced a guide for people who provide support to a person who has been or is at risk of being a victim of disability hate crime.
This guidance aims to help people to:
- spot disability hate crime;
- support the person at risk to tell people what happened;
- take the right action to keep the person safe; and
- constructively challenge agencies – including the police, social services and other services – to take action.
Here is a copy of the guide.
