Forward Carers offers a range of provision to unpaid carers including the delivery of Carer Friendly Communities, Birmingham Carers Hub and Walsall Carers Hub which offer a one-stop shop for carer services and improving carer wellbeing. A key part of our success is developing, maintaining and growing our Carer Friendly ID and Workplace offer.

Job Title: Project Coordinator – Carer Friendly Communities
Employment Status: Temporary part time – 18.5hrs per week
Location: Based within Birmingham with the expectation to travel to Walsall
Responsible to: Programme Manager
Salary /Rate: £21,332 – £25,991 pro rota
Job Role
This post will be responsible for the development and delivery of Carer Friendly Communities development and services.
- You will oversee the delivery of the Carer Friendly ID and Discount Scheme and liaise with local communities to help roll out the Carer Friendly Communities work. Including processing applications and issuing cards.
- You will seek out and liaise with businesses to sign up to offer discounts as part of our Carer Friendly Communities work.
- You will liaise with organisation’s who wish to book staff onto training courses
- You will support with the delivery of Carer Friendly newsletters and updates.
- You will be the point of contact for the Carer Friendly ID Card queries and help support Carers to access the whole service
- You will be support Carers to access our online services, helping them navigate to online support as well as helping them book onto events, activities or for 1:1 support, this could be face to face, via emails or over the phone.
- You will support on the development of the online Carer forum, engaging with Carers and encourage peer to peer support and online community.
- It will be expected that you will also support on day-to-day tasks required for the successful delivery of Forward Carers services and projects.
