Young Carers Awareness Day

Young Carers Awareness Day takes place on 30 January, it is led by Carers Trust to raise awareness of the challenges faced by young carers and to campaign for greater support for them.

Every day across the UK thousands of young people help to look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol.

For young carers in Birmingham, help and advice is available from Spurgeons Birmingham Carers Unite on 0121 638 0878 and from our partner, YMCA Sutton Coldfield who offers support to young carers aged 5 right up to the aged of 25. Homegroup, also offers a young carers service in Birmingham.
