Meet Our Ambassadors
Our Ambassadors below are still in a caring role or have experienced being a Carer for a family member, friend or neighbour. They’re all passionate about helping other Carers to get the support they need, they raise awareness and understanding of Carers by giving talks to health and social care settings, community groups or workplaces. They sometimes speak on local radio or TV, and provide quotes for newspaper articles.
Our Ambassadors have helped us choose award winners and they assess and evaluate Carer Friendly Employer Commitment Mark submissions. They regularly contribute to the Carer Friendly Forum for Carers, share Forward Carers’ social media posts and promote our Carer Friendly Communities work. Our Ambassadors are essential to the work we do and we are very grateful to have them. If you would like a media interview with one of our Ambassadors or you would like them to give a presentation, please email carerfriendly@forwardcarers.org.uk
If you are interested in becoming a Carer Friendly Ambassador and you would like to make a real difference to Carers and your local community, have a read through what this voluntary role involves. To have an informal chat with someone, contact carerfriendly@forwardcarers.org.uk
