Forward Carers is taking part in Social Enterprise Drive Birmingham which takes place from 19 until 23 April 2021. Social Enterprise Drive (previously CityDrive) is Birmingham’s festival of social enterprise which is designed to raise awareness of organisations tackling social and environmental issues. Here is the full programme of events for the week.
A Story of Social Enterprise with Forward Carers 22 April 10-11 am
On Tuesday 22 April between 10 am and 11 am you can hear from Forward Carers managing director, Dionne Williams who will share how Forward Carers CIC brought together organisations to win its first contract; and how it has grown since then to become a multimillion-pound organisation. Dionne will also explain how social enterprises can get involved with Forward Carers Carer Friendly Communities scheme.
Dionne will also talk about the strengths and benefits of working in partnership alongside Mohammed Shafique, CEO from Ashiana Community Project, one of Forward Carers’ key delivery partners. Dionne and Mohammed will share insight as to how their services have been responding to Covid-19, supporting families at this very difficult time.
